Manistee Michigan

Today we had a lovely short drive from Muskegon to Manistee, Michigan.  We were here by noon and are staying at the Little River Casino and RV Resort

We knew we wanted to drive up in the car to see the Sleeping Bear Dunes, and we wanted to gamble a little :)  Once we arrived here we discovered there are many Victorian houses and a pier and much more to explore so we decided to stay another day.  So we will be here until Friday, Sept 18. 

The drive up to Sleeping Bear Dunes was so very pretty and relaxing ....however ...our shoes, nose, ears and teeth are full of sand !!!!!!!!

At the Port Betsie Lighthouse we saw windsurfers like we have never seen before ....so many ...and flying around Lake Michigan ...they were covering miles of water in seconds ...what a sight...

And then on to Sleeping Bear Dunes ....

Unbelievable ...I spent so many summers of my youth at the Sandbanks outside Belleville, Ontario and I always thought they were so amazing ....but this was AMAZING !!!!

Tomorrow we will do some maintenance :) and some shopping :) :)  and just enjoying this beautiful area ....
