Oregon

I havent been able to Blog the last couple of days because internet service wasnt too available or was too slow. But here I am in Warrenton Oregon, a small town on the coast of Oregon. We drove from Seattle down here and took a detour over to Multonmah Falls ...One of the prettiest Falls I have ever seen. It has been raining the last couple of days but we did get lucky this morning and the sun was out for a few hours ....the Oregon Coast is very very beautiful.

Seattle Washington

We drove from Leavenworth along Highway 2 to Bellevue Washington, a suburb just outside Seattle ...it was a spectacular drive although twisting and turning but very beautiful.

We drove in sunshine the whole trip but it did cloud up by the time we were heading to downtown Seattle to see the Space Needle.

Leavenworth Washington

We have been in a KOA campground in Washington just 1/2 mile from a wonderful little town called Leavenworth ...its a replica of a Bavarian or German town and it is so very sweet ....the small shops and the painting on the buildings are fantastic ...we browsed the shops and then had an authentic German meal of Weiner Schnizel ....it was great ...

tomorrow we are on to Seattle ....hoping the rain holds off ...we have had fabulous weather so far ....keep it coming

Glacier National Park

These are just a few pictures of Glacier National Park ....it truly is a National treasure

Montana - Idaho and Washington

We waited in Kalispell for good weather to go up to Glacier National Park.  We have been through several parks to this point and all were so beautiful but nothing prepared us for Glacier.  It is breathtakingly beautiful and words really cant describe what we saw.  Now when we got to the top even this Canadian was cold and the poor Californians darn near froze to death but it was all worth it.

I seem to be back in the land of cell coverage and internet providers ...although I am sad to leave Wyoming and Montana behind ...they truly are beautiful beyond words we are now in Spokane Washington.

We left Montana this morning and we passed through the panhandle of Idaho and we were treated the gorgeous Lake Coeur D'Alene ....absolutely wonderful and I would love to come back to explore it further.  So here we are in Spokane, Washington for 1 night and tomorrow we will travel on to Leavenworth Washington.

Kalispell Montana

Hi

I have been MIA the last couple of days because getting on the internet has been iffy for a couple of days ....but I am sitting in a bar updating this now ....!!!! How great is that ???

We are in Kalispell Montana ...a beautiful town of 14,000 in northern Montana ...fairly close to the Canadian border I think

It rained off and on yesterday and is cold and windy today so we are putting off going to Glacier National Park until tomorrow when the sun is spose to shine ...then we will move on to Washington and Oregon and more beautiful states and scenery.

Happy Birthday Joel!!!

Cody Wyoming - Yellowstone National Park

We have seen so much beauty and done so many things these last few days I did miss posting a day ....Today was another spectacular day in Yellowstone.   Also our campground here just outside Cody Wyoming is a painting ...I will hate to leave ...we havent had enough time to spend just sitting in enjoying with all of our site-seeing .....

I am still learning how to put a slideshow on here ....I know I have one playing but not sure how to keep it current heheheh

we have changed our plans for tomorrow ...we were originally going to go to the Teton Mountains but we have done enough mountain climbing in the RV for now ...so we are going to cut up to Bozeman Montana and then meet up with Phil's sister on Wednesday instead of Thursday

Wyoming - Devil's Tower

Each day brings more beauty and amazing scenery ...I just cant describe how beautiful it really is. We went of the main route to venture up to see Devil's Tower ...the drive was unbelievable in a RV ...it twisted and turned and we climbed and descended at rapid pace ...but it was worth it to see it in its majestic splendor.

Tomorrow we are on to Cody, Wyoming and will have to pass through those Big Horn Mountains and will be up to 8000 feet.

Happy Trails.

Day 10 - Deadwood South Dakota

We had a short travel day from Belvidere to Piedmont South Dakota and these non-descript town just happen to be where the campgrounds are that we chose along the way.  We arrived at our camp by 12:30 and were on our way to Deadwood by 1:30.

What a great little place.  We loved it.  The history of the town has been replaced by wall to wall slot machines in every restaurant, casino, bar and hotel.  We strolled from casino to casino and even sat down and played 3  Card Poker and I had 2 fantastic hands but was too chicken to bet too much but had a great time doing it ....spent most of the afternoon and evening there ...and vowed to return one day, we enjoyed that much.

On to Mount Rushmore tomorrow ....it will be a  long but wonderful day !!!

Happy Trails!!!
